Mexico MTC!

Hi guys! I am in Mexico! ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜

The past week has been actually crazy and so many emotions and one of the best weeks of my life. ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‘
I said bye to my fam at 4am on Thursday ๐Ÿ˜ž (also shoutout to President Cobb for coming ❤️) and arrived at the CCM (my missionary training place) at 7 that night and it was sick. The CCM is WAY nicer than I thought and I am honstly living a boujee life here. ๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŒด
- idk what I was excepting but basically we have pink sheets AND an ironing board in our rooms, if that gives you a better idea ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿ‘ธ

My companion is Hermana Brimhall- and to put it shortly, we're the same person. ๐Ÿงœ‍♀️
The moment I saw her was THE BEST. ‼️
I had waited all day (since like 3am ๐Ÿ’ค) to see her and hanging out in person is 503803x better than zoom calls! ๐Ÿคซ
We've had a lil too much fun matching outfits everyday this week, and absoluty grinding during our workout time. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ธ We might get accidentally ripped while we're here ๐Ÿ˜„

Alright. Before I came here all I heard was: "the food is so bad. You're going to get sick. Be prepared."
(**cough cough** cooper and caleb)
So... I was indeed spooked for my tummy ๐Ÿ™‚‍↕️
That being said- I am obsessed with the food. Oh my- its literally SO yummy ๐Ÿ‰๐ŸŒฎ
I will say- breakfast isnt great, and if you know me, you know that is my favorite meal, BUT for breakfast me and Brimhall usually just mix my chocolate protein powder (thanks nana) with milk and chomp on some watermelon, and it gets the job done. ๐Ÿ™‰
For the other meals, they ALWAYS have watermelon and cantalope ๐Ÿ‘… And some fire chicken or beef and we make tacos out of everything. ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹ Muy bien.

In terms of classes and Espanol, it's hard! I feel behind in Spanish, but I also have grown so much. ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ I am working on trying to not be a perfectionist when I am speaking or practcing- because I know that is what is going to help me grow.
We have two 3 hour classes a day, and I actually love them. ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž My teachers are so fun and they love to make fun of us, but they are also so genuine and make me want to shed some tears sometimes. ๐Ÿฅฒ
I got my teacher Hermana Vivas to do the "Wait" dance (shoutout bekah, sum, and drew) and it made me feel like i was back at BYU ๐Ÿ’ƒ✋️๐Ÿฅน

I also had the chance to get way closer to my district (the 8 kids who I do all my classes with and are my good pals)
I have been so blessed with a fire district, and we have had some really spirtual and special discussions this week. ❤️‍๐Ÿ”ฅ Sunday was specifically special, we had a lot of time to share our thoughts with each other, and I love watching all of our testimonies grow together ๐Ÿฅน

This week we had some super good devotionals- including Elder and Hermana Douglas, of the seventy. (some amazing people who have high authoirty in our church.) ๐Ÿ‘
Something Elder Douglas talked about was embracing challenge and hardship, instead of trying to get rid of it.๐Ÿ’ฏ
It reminds me of the saying: "get comfortable with being uncomfortable." ๐Ÿ˜Œ
A lot of things feel hard right now and uncomfortable,(aka spanish) but the Lord IS helping me. I see his hand in my life every single day, especially in my studies, the beauty around me, and my companion. ๐Ÿ’Œ
